Typing Good Time!

HI Y'all!

Long time no post eh? I have posted a few pictures of my new room and organization and I will do a blog post or two on the whole transformation soon. Day after tomorrow the new desk gets built and soon after all the boxes for my wood stamps from Stampin  up should come. Then I promise I will show the whole thing. Then I will try to shut up about it! LOL

This weekend Leo and Mary posted the new kit and it is really really cute! A Typewriter is part of this amazing kit and I just had to make one. This time it is for me. I realized when I was putting decorations on my shelf in my room that I didn't have very many spring or other projects that I kept for myself to display. So I went to "work" on my Typewriter. I think I need a phone from the Call me Later Kit to go with my Typewriter.. LOL

I cut  the typewriter as it imports with one exception and that was I cut the tab bar 6 times, the last time with patterned paper. This was to give it definition. Let me tell you the typewriter was really easy to put together! Once I had added the keyboard to the top I went back with a slightly darker pen and darkened the letters a bit then I had these acrylic circles from a make your own brad set that I used to put over the top of the keys. (every time I made my own brad I didn't like it) I think you could use the 14 round Epiphany Crafts acrylics as well.  I put the Epiphany Crafts 25 circle on the ends of the knob for the typewriter then I used enamel dots with glitter in them to used above where the "keys" would be.
I don't have cute little flower like buttons like Mary has and I can say that I have wanted them for other projects as well so I need to be on the look out for some.   Instead I used a regular button and added a twine bow. I added some sprig things I got from Hobby Lobby when I met Deb Maurer and Jeannie Lassey. They are the things that go into wedding Bouquets so look in that section, they make great inteni for bugs. I used Glossy Accents for the glue to hold them in place behind the butterfly. That was it!
It is going to look so adorable next to the phone from Call me Later SVG Kit. I might start on that today not sure still have more organization to do. I really wanted to take a break from all this room doing to recharge. I must say it recharged me and I am really looking forward to it all being done and playing in my new room. As I said the floor will probably have to wait. (rats!) As Mark feels that we cannot do it our selves. I can wait but the moving my chair on carpet isn't going to be fun while I wait.. OH well! I am truly blessed to have it as it is going to be now.. (squeal!) Thanks so much for stopping by and vistin' with me. I know it has been a while and I am sorry. I have missed you all and very much missed creating. Have a wonderful day and Happy Craftin'.
